Unit Inspection: Allies Hero Rosie

Despite only being a Master Sergeant in the Allied armed forces, Rosie Donovan has made more advances in VK technologies than most of the bloc’s own scientists. She just seems to have a knack for machines and pure raw talent for understanding the properties of VK. Despite her expertise and the fame that comes with it, Sergeant Donovan still prefers to fight the enemies of freedom on the front lines where she believe her skill can be best utilized.

Unit Inspection: Allies M1 Series Light Assault Walker

Built for speed and firepower the Blackhawk features a fully enclosed cockpit unlike the Wildfire and Honey models of the M1 Light Assault Walkers (LAW). Like the other Allied Light Walkers, the Blakhawk is designed for rushing in and delivering its payload against much heavier armor in a sort of suicide gambit, or better yet, in massive numbers to saturate an opponent. The Blackhawk is also one of the best night recon vehicles due to is small size, speed, and weapon design.

Unit Inspection: AXis “Sturmaffe” Blutkreuz Korps Kampfaffen Pionere Squad

The strange science behind the “Kampfaffe”, or “Combat Gorilla is still very much its infancy with numerous facets still completely unknown to the program’s top scientists.  Most subjects don’t even reach the level of intelligence needed to be controlled to be useful as the basic Axis Gorilla.  However, some subjects of these macabre experiments excel to superhuman levels of genius though many of these apes learn to conceal this from their human superiors.   Others are trained as Kampfaffe Pioniere, or the Engineers of the Gorillas, they are capable of both using and understanding complex tools and weapons during combat.  This ability allows the Axis to outfit them with frighteningly powerful weapons too heavy or dangerous for human operators.  While the Axis have made the creation of these units possible, the Sturmaffe are still very much not cost effective compared to other avenues of Wehrmacht.

In this article I give offer suggestions to players wanting to either find or creating a group to enjoy gaming.  While this is applicable to Dust, much of what I suggest would probably work for other miniature games or even board games and table top rpgs.  I fact much of what I will suggest will come from my experience finding and setting up rpg groups.
